The Ripple Effect - dance collective
Bringing together inspiring people to share, explore and play.
Brigid
Inspired by the legend of Brigid and the environment, blending traditional and contemporary styles, this piece uses text, movement, song and humour to create work that will engage and inspire audiences. Thanks to the Traditional Arts fund for supporting this development.
Past project
Email Dances
Created in response to Sue relocating to Australia and exploring the themes of disclocation and displacement. Sue started off the process sending us an email with instructions to follow in the studio, we then sent her our responses, starting a dialogue through email back and forth stimulating each other's own movements and ideas. Thanks to Dance Base for the residency.
Collaborators: Sue Hawksley, Susan Hay, Audicia Morley, Steinvor Palsson, Caroline Reagh, Debbie Watson.
If you are interested in programming any of this work, please get in touch.
