Cumbernauld Theatre, Dunedin Consort, and Ripple Arts collaborate with choreographer Marc Brew to present
SONATA
noun: a piece, played
What happens to our bodies when we listen to music? Which of our muscles flex, which senses flicker, which pathways are triggered? SONATA explores these instinctive, creative impulses through a playful sequence of music and movement, uniting the musicians of Scotland’s leading baroque ensemble Dunedin Consort with award-winning choreographer Marc Brew and 5 disabled and non-disabled dancers. Join us for a compelling evening of instrumental music and improvisatory dance, as we ask: what happens when we all, simply, play?
Marc Brew: choreographer
Dunedin Consort: music
Company Dancers
Susan Hay: producer
Sharing of the work will be held on Friday 29 Sept (time tbd) at Cumbernauld Theatre studio, Lanternhouse, South Kildrum Ring Road, Cumbernauld G67 2UF. Lanternhouse is located on the Cumbernauld Academy campus. See directions. Please consider car share or public transport to attend.
